There’s a new Murrell on the Southland Vehicle Sales block.

Reinforcing our proud status as a family-owned and operated company, Benji Murrell has joined the ranks of salesman, returning to Southland after a stint studying and working in Dunedin.

His previous sales experience will be a valuable asset to the team, with Benji working in both the SVS Kia and SVS Pre-Owned divisions.

And when it comes to the key attributes of a good salesman, well, it’s in the blood.

"You have to be knowledgeable about your product, honest, have integrity and it doesn’t hurt to be a bit charismatic either," he said.

"I just enjoy meeting people so this really is an ideal career. It’s great to be back in Southland."

Benji is no stranger to success, especially in the sports arena. He was a member of the Southland Men’s Championship-winning Glengarry Pirates basketball team and is also an accomplished rugby and cricket player.

"There are plenty of traits you can take from the sports field into other areas of your life - commitment, dedication, teamwork and a winning attitude."
